I LOVE those holiday Mary Jane socks. I have at least 1 pair for each of the holidays. I have more christmas, than any other holiday.

As I was doing errands, what did I see??? These cute socks, of course I had to buy them, and make it my picture of the day :)  Oh and on the bottom they say BOO :)

Feeling a little better today...decided to go outside and see what I can take a picture of.  I have three pictures that I really wanted to use, but I had to chose one :(

I bought this wind chime about a year ago...I looked up at it and took my shot. Came out good! Right after I took this picture, a bee came buzzing around me, and I ran into the house! Guess I was done enjoying our backyard :)

Today was not a good day :(  Didn't feel good at all :( So today's picture was taken while I was laying on the couch.  I have this vase with my fall flowers, the color from the tv was shining through, thought it would make a great picture. It's a tad blurry, but it was the best one I took using no flash and no tripod :)

Today was a great day, despite the fact that I've had a sore throat for the past few days. Today it was a little worse BUT, I got a call from my dear friend Keith and he came to visit me! It was nice to have lunch with him and just hang out :)

So I'm trying my hand at getting a "green thumb." I bought this tomato plant and have been pretty good at watering it, right now it's growing tons of tomatoes, can't wait to use them, making my picture of the day!

So I woke up with the desire to put my fall decor up. I know it's a tad early, but fall and winter are my favorite seasons. I rather be cold than hot :) Love that you can warm your house with all the yummy bake goods you can make during the fall/winter. I can't wait!!!

Today's photo is of my pumpkin candle holder, one of my favorite pieces. Wish I would have bought more of these, but Illuminations went out of business :(  They had the best seasonal candle holders and decor that I know of. Oh well, my picture of the day!

Yesterday at Target, I bought a recipe book holder (holds your book open for you while you cook). Been wanting one for a while, always forget to buy it when I'm at the store. Finally treated myself to one. I decided to display my Crepes recipe book. Of course it opened to my favorite recipe, and you know what that means...I had to make them.

Chicken, Sweet Corn, Red Bell Pepper stuffed Crepes. SOOOO good. Decided to make it my picture of the day.

First day back to reality and I woke up with a huge migraine :( I really wanted to get some errands done, so I pushed through it. 

Despite having a migraine,  I was craving cupcakes. So today I made Lemon cupcakes with vanilla frosting. They turned out great. They had to be my picture of the day!

Last day of vacation :(

We decided to have BBQ with my bestie Inger and her hubby Phil. It was a great way to end our last day of vacation. As the sun was going down, my hubby was watering the plants, and I thought it would be great shot. I Really like how it came out!

Vacation is drawing to the end. Today's our 8th day of vacation and we did NOTHING!! We sat around watched some tv, read and pretty much just enjoyed what feels like our new living room.

As we were watching Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (with Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne) I noticed something on the window screen. It was just a moth, but got me up and outside. Of course I brought my camera along with me.

I Spotted this mushroom and took a few shots of it. I really like this picture of the day. Very Alice in Wonderland. Wish I had a "drink me" bottle so I can get a shot from underneath the mushroom. That would be awesome. Enjoy!

Dinner came around and we decided to order in. We LOVE domenico's jr. here in Glendora. We shared their yummy lasagna which comes with their garlic bread. It was over all a great day!

Did some christmas shopping..I know to early to think if Christmas, but this year I wanted to get a head start and if I saw something that I knew someone would love, I'd buy it!

I got a deep fryer as a gift  from my in-laws and I really wanted to try it.  We decided to make homemade french fries..they were yummy! They were doubled dripped in the oil (cooked twice) and they really came out good. I loved seeing the bubbles in the fries, making my picture of the day!

Third day of Vacation!! There is this cute little fruit stand I have been wanting to go to right near our house. Today was the day! We got some yummy fruit, bread and saw this local grown corn. Had to get some, since we were bbq'ng some chicken. Nothing says summer like bbq chicken and grilled corn. I love that my friend Inger shared a recipe with me for the corn. Melt butter add Mrs. Dash (the garlic and herbs flavor) and WAH-LAH you have yummy grilled corn.


Today I came to the realization that I love taking close-up shots of things. It's neat to see stuff up close, the small details of things really intrigue me. My Picture of the day, before the grilling!

Vacation day #2--Today was our day at home and all we did was relax!

There are these birds that love to come in our backyard. I put out a plate of bird seed right by my sliding glass door. It's my trap to lure them in, so I can take close-up shots of them. Today was a good day, as the birds were actually going into the plate, I was able to take a ton of shots! This one is my favorite! This is as close as I'm gonna get :)

One day, me and my hubby were watching "How's it Made." They did a segment on how they make safety razors. Now safety razors (for those that don't know) are the old traditional razors with the dual edge blades. Men usually will use cream with the brush and then shave with these razors.

This segment created a shave monster in my husband. His new hobby, shaving the "old traditional" way.  He says it's better than using those disposable razors.

I had a fun day lounging by the pool, catching up with my friend Jayme and watching her kids splash around. I didn't put any sunscreen on..didn't think it was that hot. We were only out there for maybe 2 hours. 

Around 4pm my skin was feeling burnt. Naturally after dinner, I wanted to take a walk and get some ice cream. It's a nice way to end the day!

A lazy Sunday afternoon, a nice relaxing day. Had a great day of worship and fellowship at church. Had an amazing lunch with my dear friend Jennie and heading home for nap time :)

Today's photo was going to be some of the old cars from the car show that was happening at Legends. But nap time ran late :)

So I thought about this tree. I really wanted to capture this tree that has what I think an "eye". The sun was setting and I love how the glow of the sun is seen on the bark.

I LOVE LUCY!

 I grew up watching her.  I loved her wacky ways, her facial expressions, her laugh and her cry.
Today would have been her 100th birthday. While watching the marathon on TV ( I have all the seasons on DVD, but still wanted to watch it on TV), I knew that today's photo would be dedicated to her. This is my favorite drawn picture of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, given to me by my brother, Eric.
They both were amazing, had amazing writers and a cast that worked great! I'm happy to know that Desi filmed the show in high quality film for that time, so that I can enjoy it for many years to come!

There are seasons in our lives that cause us to have less time with dear friends.  The busyness of life gets in the way. So on those rare dates you gather with friends, you cherish your time together over good conversations, good food, yummy dessert, WONDERFUL tea and a fun game to end the night.

We had such a night on this day! Again, I love cooking. I love trying new things, especially when friends come over. On this night was no different. I pulled out a new recipe and boy was it a hit. Something that takes 30 minutes to make is great! It gives you more time with friends!

I love applesauce. I love the one from Trader Joes. The only problem is the jar is not big enough and trader Joes is not close by us. 15 mins is not far, but not convenient to run and get a jar of applesauce. Since I went to the store for my apple pie supplies, I decided to get extra apples to make homemade applesauce.

Came out yummy and wanted to make it the picture of the day.

We have a passion, okay not a passion, but more of a love for old books. The look, the smell, the design of covers...I can go on and on. I really wanted to collect old books, and display them. Another hobby I pushed aside.

My sister-in-law was getting rid of some books, and boy did I jump on that opportunity! She had a whole collection (not sure if it's the whole complete collection) of Victor Hugo's works. They have this beautiful gold leaf and are filled with age. I wanted to capture them for today's photo

I received these candle votives from my dear friend David for Christmas. I just love the gold flake. I took this picture with NO flash and to my surprise, it came out beautiful. I was lazy and didn't use the tripod, and thought there is no way this is coming out clear. It looked good on the small screen of the camera, but I thought for sure it would be blurry on my computer.  It makes a great picture of the day :)

It was a long Friday. Had to go get my eyes examine for their annual check-up, runs some errands and drop off a meal to a friend who was sick. It was getting late and thought THE HAT!

As I was watering my plants, I noticed this "rock" in the dirt. I was really intrigue by all the holes in it.  As I examined it closer, I noticed that there are shells in most of the holes. I knew that this was not a normal rock, but one that could have came from the ocean, thus making it my picture of the day.

As I stated before, I really enjoy cooking and baking. My husband really loves when I make biscuits. I hear him mention it a lot, which is a hint that I need to make them more often :) On this day I went to baking and thought, "This biscuit is my picture!" I took it outside on a nice red-ish plate and snapped away.

I cheated and did another photo for this day! Another joy I have is cooking and baking. For days I had been craving apple pie. I had none of the ingredients, so I trekked to the store to get all that I needed. I usually don't make it with the lattice crust, but today I wanted to be adventurous. Here is the end result, was VERY good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Made my night!

This photo has a funny story. I came downstairs and looked up on the wall and thought "Wow that would be a great photo!" I quickly grabbed my camera and started shooting away. As I shared this photo with friends, they said "oh, I totally thought it was an ultrasound photo."

I was not thinking that at all. It was pretty funny and I almost changed my photo of the day, but decided to leave it. I just saw the sun peeking through our window, casting the shadows of the tree outside. I thought it was a unique picture of the day, that included a funny side story :)

I love my friend Inger very much! We love throwing great birthday parties! On this day, Inger had a "mystery" birthday party for her husband.  It was more of a Honky Tonk murder mystery party. Before the party, I was given my character profile and suggestions on what to wear. I was Twyla fleetwood, a owner of the local trailer park and an undercover agent. I was to arrive in a bathrobe and rollers in my hair. I came in full garb to the party...I was NOT the murder :( , but had a great time anyways!

As I left the party, my head was hurting. I have not worn curlers in my hair since high school. In fact, I use to sleep in them for drill team, how did I do that??...not sure, but for a few hours at the party, my hair was hurting. I got into the car, took my curlers off, threw them in the compartment on the door and saw an opportunity for my picture of the day.

Back to the yard I went on this day to capture my next shot. We have a nice little yard. I asked my husband if we can get one of those kiddie pools to just lounge in. This picture pretty much speaks for itself. The neighbors have this beautiful maple tree and their leaves are so big. When it's fall, I enjoy seeing the changing of colors.

I live in the beautiful city of Glendora, Ca. We have this quaint little park that is famous for the "Big Tree". I made the decision to capture this amazing tree. On this day, I took two shots, one of the tree and the other of the description of the tree. My pictures don't do the tree justice..I could not get the whole tree as people were climbing on it, so you'll have to take a trip to see it's full beauty for yourself :)

Today is the first day of my photo adventure. Really wasn't sure what to take, so I headed outside in the backyard. We always get such beautiful birds back there, and was really hoping to capture one..I'm still trying to get a shot :)

Back in March, I purchased a clover plant from Trader Joes for my St. Patrick's day centerpiece for my yummy corn beef dinner. I moved the plant outside to see if I can keep it growing for next march. These beautiful white flowers started blooming among the clovers. It's amazing to see God's creation!

My New Adventure!

I have a love for photography. I took it in high school and a semester in college. As life got busy, my hobby got lost and so did film :)  In 2008 my husband got me a Canon Rebel XSi. I was excited to get back to taking pictures again. But of course life gets in the way and I slowly faded in picture taking all together. 


On July 19, 2011 I pulled out my camera and decided to take a photo everyday, of anything thing that I see. I have seen other people take on this adventure and thought it would be a great idea to use my camera daily, to fall back in love with taking pictures, and really start a hobby again. So this page is dedicated to my picture taking adventures. 


I'm a TOTAL amateur, I probably take pictures on the wrong settings, not the right lighting...etc.. I forgot all my knowledge of photography from schooling...so please understand this is for my enjoyment of taking pictures and sharing with those that love photography like me!
