Finished my Christmas decorating today. This year we are waiting until the second or 3rd week of December to get our tree. Got it too early last year and dried out too fast.

I love my cream and sugar set for Christmas. Got a good deal from Homegoods. My sugar bowl made my picture of the day!

Okay I was really trying to hold out on taking Christmas related photos.  But since I started my Christmas decorating, I couldn't resist :)

I started a new tradition of buying nutcrackers every year. I only started 3 years ago, but look forward to continuing this tradition to hand these down to my children :) Today this one made my picture of the day :)

Happy Thanksgiving!! Today's photo is a little different. The trees in the neighborhood have been changing and I took some great shots of them, so today I had to use most of them :)

Today I'm thankful: for my Savior Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for me. For my love, my best friend, my Hubby, the way he inspires me to be the person Christ wants me to be. For my Mom, who is a true blessing to me, who worked hard for me and my brother. Her sacrifice has not gone unnoticed! For my Dad. Even though he is my step-dad, he is my Dad. He is very supportive, loving and caring. He treated me as his own daughter and he is a blessing to me! For my dear brother Eric. We had great times growing up together! I love him dearly and grateful for him! Now that he is married, I love his better half-Claudia! She is a sweet heart who is loving and caring! A great addition to the family! For my extended family, I love each and every one of them! They are a great, fun, crazy family! For my bestie Inger! She is a true blessing to me! She is loving, caring, is there when I need her, fun, crazy and I just love her! I'm so thankful for Phil too! He is a great caring person and I love how much he loves my Inggy! SOOO thankful for my Church family at ABC! The Lord really blessed me with such a warm, caring, loving church. I see the love of God in each one of them! For my hubby's family! They are a treasure and a blessing to be apart of! They are all so supportive, loving, and have made me feel apart of the family since the day I met them all! Thankful for all my friends! They are a blessing to me! I cherish each one of you!

Took a walk today and saw this white flower. It was taller than me, so I had to grab it down a bit to take a picture of it. I was taking pictures of it up close, but as I was walking away I captured this shot. I know the flower is ready to drop it's petals, but I still find it beautiful :)

My hubby LOVES coffee. A while ago I bought the starbucks cold coffee mix. Hubby decided he would try it. He felt it was a tad sweet, so he added some half and half to it. He pointed out the design that the cream was creating, so I grabbed my camera and took my shot :)

A long time ago, a friend of mine bought me this gourd pitcher that I pull out and use every Thanksgiving. It has this metal leaf on it with a vine running down it.  While twisting my neck, I managed to get this shot looking up through the twisted vine.

Had such a busy day today. Help friends move, played some Xbox with my friends son and had a visit with the bestie!!!!

My bestie Inger is such a great friend. Drove far to visit me and had a wonderful gift for me. My FAVORITE christmas movie is  A Christmas Story.  She brought me this......popcorn tin with Christmas Story on it. You can't see the tin, but had to capture the yummy popcorn :)

So tonight I decided to try this new recipe. It was easy to make and looks great! (as I'm writing this, I have yet to taste it, I will post tomorrow if it's good or not!) It's crescent rolls stuff with chicken, cheese, veggies and sour cream :)

Today is my best friend, my hubby's birthday. Had a nice lunch/dinner with my sister in law and her daughter. A nice quiet birthday. I made Sausage and Zucchini Carbonara. It was so yummy! One of my favorite recipes.

So yesterday among my cleaning all day, I had a pot roast in the crock pot all day. Very tender and yummy! We had leftovers tonight and wanted to take some shots of dinner. :)

It's funny how as a adult you really cherish what your parents did for you as a child. My parents worked hard and we had simple meals for dinner. One of mine and my brother's favorite was meat burritos. Ground beef, beans, cheese and some yummy salsa. Very simple, nothing special, but something that me and my brother loved! After a hard day of cleaning, I decided to make just that. It's the one dinner that my hubby doesn't mind :) As I was grating the cheese, I saw my picture of the day :)
