Every Memorial Day weekend, we vacation with some friends. We either go to Pismo Beach or Lake Arrowhead. This year we are in Lake Arrowhead. We rent the same house when we are up here, and on their porch there is this weather vane. It makes my picture of the day.

I've mentioned before that I love our backyard. We have all kinds of birds coming and going. I finally was able to get some peanuts for our Scrub Jay that keeps coming around. He allowed me to be right in front of him and snap a few pictures of him. He makes my picture of the day!

I like our little backyard. We have in ground sprinklers, but for some reason they are not getting some patches of grass. With summer coming, I decided to get a little sprinkler to put out on the grass, so the bald spots can get some water. It makes my picture of the day :)

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Celebrated Mother's Day at my grandma's today. I went out to the backyard where my grandpa had all his stuff that he collected. We lost Papa in 2010, so it was bittersweet to go out there and see his items. Today's picture of his little collection of bottles :) I love him and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven!

Went to visit my dear friend Jayme today. In her backyard she has started growing all kinds of things...peas, citrus trees, watermelon, grapes...etc. In her strawberry patch, I saw this mushroom and took some shots of it. It was beautiful, but to my friend it meant the ground was too wet. I asked her not to pull until I took some pictures of it :)
