Very strange weather day. Started off cool, had all the windows open. Then it warmed up quick, had to turn the air on. About an hour ago, I noticed that there was this fierce wind blowing and it cooled down. I went outside and saw that the sky had these beautiful clouds. Grabbed my camera and took some shots.

Of course when I came inside, the wind stop, but at least it's cooler than it was this afternoon. SO looking forward to fall weather...well as fall as it can get here in California. :)

A friend of mine was getting rid of some stuff at her house. She was changing her style in her den and asked if I would like this carved wood plaque. I really liked the detail of it and thought it would look great on my wall.

About a year ago, my husband and some friends surprised me with a new computer. Not just a computer, but a laptop :) I always had a desk top computer, so it was neat for me to get this special gift. It's my picture for today :)

Today is my mommy's birthday! Happy Birthday Mommy!! I love you and thank you for being such a wonderful, caring, supportive, understanding, and loving Mom!!

Today's picture is a gift from my mother-in-law. It was from a family friend that use to live right next door to them. They were like adoptive grandparents to my hubby and his siblings. I never did meet their neighbor, but really feel honor to have a tea cup from them. It was a great gift to make me feel welcomed into the family :)

I LOVE FALL!! I have already decorated my house with all my fall decor. I bought these mini pinecones that have cinnamon scent on them. I use them in my hurricane candle table centerpiece--that is a mouth full :)

I love the way they smell!! :) Smells like fall! Happy Fall everyone!!

Was making lunch today, and as I was cooking I smelled something burning. I looked under the pasta pot and saw this pasta burning. I love the bubbles and just the way it looked. It made my picture of the day!

Another simple picture today! For my hubby's birthday, I got him a Kindle. I love turning it on and off because of the beautiful art that is displayed when it's off. I probably will brake it because I do it too much!

Last night my hubby got me a donut from the famous Donut Man here in Glendora. He got me a cinnamon donut for the next day as well. So this morning I put the donut in the toaster oven, forgot about it and here it is....my burnt donut! Only the top was burnt, so I ate the bottom, it was still good!! What a morning...had to open all the windows and doors before the smoke alarm went off :)

This is funny! As a valentine gift for my husband, I got him this cup. I LOVE it and now it's my cup that I use all the time :) Doesn't that always happen? We get a gift for our husbands, but end up using it all the time?!?! I really did intend this gift for him, but I fell in love with it because of how big of a cup it is and don't have to refill it all the time :) OH well :)

Me and my hubby have this sort of tradition. WE LOVE NACHOS!! We usually make them after a swim in the pool. It's a quick and easy dinner :) Tonight was our nacho night. I usually make my own homemade salsa, but I have found a second best salsa on those lazy days. Salsa Especial from Trader Joe's. It's REAL good!! Here's my pic of our yummy dinner!

MAJOR cheat day today. I should be making this at home, but I love Canyon City BBQ in Azusa! They have this great meal all in one! Baked potato, BBQ brisket, melted cheese, and a side of sour cream!! And it's not just a regular size potato, it's a MONSTER potato!! Had to take a picture of it!

Years ago a friend taught me how to make a teddy bear. I really enjoyed it, and I should consider trying it again. Here is a picture of Teddy. I didn't make his sweater, but now that I know how to crochet, I guess I can make him some different sweaters :)

I have done a full circle. On September 11, 2001, I was just married and living here in Glendora when that tragic morning happened in New York. I was asleep when the alarm went off with the news story. After leaving Glendora in 2002 to live in Burbank, I'm back here in Glendora 10 years later.

My prayers are with those that lost love ones.  It's a great sadness, but our God is good and grants peace to those who trust Him.

Also on this day would have been my hubby's brother's Birthday. We lost dear Ron just this past May. He would have been 50 years old today. WE miss him, but are at peace knowing he is with our Savior and doesn't have pain anymore.

Today I was real tired. Been struggling with Insomnia..making me feel like I'm sick, when it's just lack of real sleep. My hubby was going through old stuff while I was just resting on the couch. He told me he found our old phones, and that sparked my interest.

He brought them to me and WAH-LA...my picture of the day. It's so strange to see the difference. Wish I still had my pager to add to the mix :)

I think I mentioned  before that we get A LOT of birds in our backyard. Today was pretty cool, there were about 10 birds eating seeds that I sprinkled in the grass. I went to get my camera, and of course scared them.

The gardeners didn't come yesterday because of the Labor Day holiday, our grass is growing pretty high, I thought it would make a great picture. One of the birds left behind a feather, and saw my shot. Love taking pictures of things up close.

Years ago my mom gave me these measuring spoons. They are sooo cute, I had to take a picture of them. I use to set them out during spring, but now I keep them up all year round. I love them and I love my mom very much. I think of her every time I see them!  Love you Mom!!

My Husband and I have had the privilege to serve over seas for mission trips. Every two years for 3 years we would go to the country of Moldova for two weeks. For those that don't know where Moldova is, it's between Romania and Ukraine.

One year we had a lay over in Holland, which is were my husband's family is from. I wish we could have had more time to venture out to see the sights. While there I found these cute little shoes (it's a magnet) and had to get them. Thought they would look cute for today's picture :)
